This Sunday, November 23, the Principality will host the fifth edition of the Beking cycling race, an event that brings together professional riders based in Monaco, amateur cyclists, and families along Port Hercule. The race combines sporting competition with a festive atmosphere, while also supporting charitable causes.

To accommodate the event, several road closures will be in effect from 4:00 to 18:30. Vehicle traffic will be prohibited on the United States quay between the restricted access area and its intersection with Pool Road, the road to the swimming pool, JF Kennedy Avenue, and the South dock. Exceptions will apply for motorists travelling to the Jules Soccal landing stage, where two-way traffic will be maintained under pilot control at specified times according to race progress. Boulevard Albert I will remain open for traffic in its service lane, and a one-way system will operate from Quai Antoine Ier after the Rocher Noghès tunnel to the fishermen’s esplanade, with vehicles exiting the Antoine Ier car park or coming from the Rocher tunnel required to turn right toward the esplanade.

Parking restrictions will also be in place. From 6:00 on Friday, November 21 to 6:00 on Monday, November 24, parking will be banned on the United States quay, the road to the swimming pool, the Louis Chiron turn, the first part of the Jules Soccal jetty, and the South dock. Additional restrictions from 23:00 on Saturday, November 22 to 18:30 on Sunday, November 23 will apply to Boulevard Albert I. On race day, parking will also be prohibited on Quai Antoine Ier between the car park and the Rocher-Noghès tunnel from 4:00 to 18:30.

Public transport will be affected as well. CAM bus line 1, which runs between Monaco-Ville and Saint-Roman, will be diverted onto Avenue d’Ostende, bypassing the Kennedy and Auditorium Rainier III stops. Passengers looking to reach the Spélugues, Citronniers, or Place du Casino stops will need to use lines 5 or 6.

The Beking race promises to combine high-level cycling with a community atmosphere, while attendees are advised to plan ahead for road and parking restrictions on Sunday.
