The 26th edition of Monaco’s No Finish Line is now underway, following an enthusiastic launch on Saturday 16th November under the Fontvieille big top…
Here Serene Highness Princess Charlene officially kicked off the event, which has already attracted 12,000 pre-registered participants eager to support Children & Future, the Monegasque charity behind the race.
The principle remains unchanged; for every kilometre completed, €1 is donated to support projects for disadvantaged and seriously ill children. Participants run or walk at their own pace, 24 hours a day, over eight consecutive days. Each person buys an electronic chip and can return as often as they wish throughout the week.
Supported by major sponsors, including Barclays, the Monegasque Red Cross Foundation, the Stelios Foundation, and SBM Offshore, alongside dozens of smaller local partners, the event stands as one of Monaco’s most unifying charitable traditions. “There is no small contribution,” the organisers emphasised, noting that every helping hand makes the week-long effort possible.
The course, a 1.14 km circuit stretching from the big top to the middle of the Fontvieille seawall, quickly filled with familiar faces from across the Principality. Among those taking part on opening day were Minister of State Christophe Morgand, Mayor Georges Marsan, and members of the Prince’s Carabinieri Corps, who are participating en masse despite preparing for National Day ceremonies.
Many runners arrived in team colours, including a special commemorative T-shirt created by the Carabinieri for this year’s edition. Thirty volunteers from Children & Future will supervise the track day and night, ensuring participants can run safely around the clock.
With record numbers and renewed energy, organisers predict a particularly memorable No Finish Line, one that may well surpass last year’s achievements in both kilometres and generosity.
