The Night of the Stars returned last night to the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology in Monaco, offering visitors an evening of discovery under the night sky…
Organised in collaboration with the Spica astronomy club, the event combined science, wonder, and education in a setting that linked the cosmos with humanity’s earliest history.
Throughout the evening, guests were invited to gaze at the planets and constellations through high-definition telescopes installed on the museum terrace. The programme included a lecture on the history of astronomy, followed by sky observations and projections on the museum’s façade, where the Moon’s craters and other celestial features were brought vividly to life.
More than 120 visitors gathered for this now well-established annual event, which aims to spark curiosity and highlight the connection between prehistoric humans and the stars that have inspired generations. As organisers explained, the initiative encourages reflection on our place in the universe, combining the disciplines of science, culture, and anthropology.
The Night of the Stars has become an unmissable date on Monaco’s cultural calendar, offering both residents and visitors a rare opportunity to explore the wonders of the solar system from one of the Principality’s most fascinating scientific institutions.
