Monaco has received encouraging recognition from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) for its continued progress in strengthening its anti–money laundering and counter–terrorism financing framework…

On October 24, the FATF adopted Monaco’s second progress report, highlighting significant improvements made by the Principality since its inclusion on the organisation’s grey list.

The report acknowledges concrete measures taken by the Monegasque authorities, including the recruitment of three additional magistrates within the Public Prosecutor’s Office and stronger results in the identification and seizure of assets suspected to originate from criminal activity. These efforts reflect Monaco’s commitment to transparency, compliance, and cooperation with international standards.

The Government of Monaco reaffirmed its determination to continue implementing all necessary reforms to further enhance the effectiveness of its financial oversight mechanisms. The objective remains clear, to secure Monaco’s removal from the FATF grey list as soon as possible.

Through increased resources, improved coordination between institutions, and strengthened judicial action, the Principality continues to demonstrate its firm resolve to safeguard the integrity of its financial system while maintaining the confidence of international partners and investors.
