Diplomatic ties between Monaco and four nations were strengthened on Friday, September 19, as newly accredited ambassadors presented their credentials to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II before being received by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, at a luncheon at the Hôtel Hermitage.
The Principality welcomed Nkosinathi Emmanuel Mthethwa, Ambassador of South Africa and former Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture (2019–2023); Ana Elena Pinto Lizano, Ambassador of Costa Rica, who also serves as her country’s envoy to Benin and Côte d’Ivoire; Radka Balabanova-Ruleva, Bulgaria’s new ambassador and former Director of External Economic Relations and Development Cooperation; and Fahad Saeed Mohamed Abdulla Al Raqbani, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, who previously represented his country in Canada from 2018 to 2024.
The luncheon provided an opportunity to reaffirm Monaco’s longstanding friendships and expand avenues for cooperation in areas ranging from economic development to cultural exchange. Also present were Ludmilla Raconat Le Goff, Delegate for Attractiveness and Secretary General of the Strategic Council for Attractiveness, and Guillaume Rose, CEO of the Monaco Economic Board.
The accreditation of these four envoys underscores the Principality’s ongoing commitment to fostering dialogue and collaboration on the global stage.
