A comic book, a sailboat, and a mission powered by heart. The BPM Foundation has partnered with Les Voiles Blanches to launch The Pirate Blanc—an original comic book introducing a new kind of hero. One who fights not with swords or superpowers, but with compassion, creativity, and action.
This isn’t just a tale. It’s part of a larger, hands-on commitment. Since 2020, Les Voiles Blanches has been sailing Mediterranean ports each summer aboard the Pirate Blanc, collecting new toys for children undergoing hospital treatment.
From Monday, August 26 to Thursday, September 12, the Pirate Blanc will once again raise anchor, charting a 17-port course from Saint-Tropez to Nice. The journey includes a meaningful stop in Monaco on Monday, September 8. At each harbour, specially marked treasure chests will be placed to collect brand-new, unopened toys for young patients at the Lenval Foundation in Nice and other paediatric centres across the PACA region.
To bring this voyage to life, the BPM Foundation has funded the printing of 500 copies of the comic’s debut issue, telling the origin story of the Pirate Blanc—a hero who stands for courage, kindness, and imagination. The comic, featuring illustrated panels and an audio version, will be distributed to hospitalised children across the region and sold in support of the mission.
To broaden the reach, donation chests will also be placed across six BPM Exclusive car showrooms throughout Monaco as part of the 2025 Solidarity Treasure Hunt. New toys in original packaging can be dropped off at Mercedes-Benz Monaco on Avenue Princesse Grace, the Atelier Mercedes-Benz on Rue du Gabian, Maserati BPM Exclusive on Rue des Açores, Jaguar Land Rover on Avenue des Castellans, Monaco Occasions on Avenue de Fontvieille, and Aston Martin Monaco on Avenue Princesse Grace.
The initiative was officially launched at an exclusive event held on Wednesday, July 9 at the Maserati BPM Exclusive showroom in Monaco, bringing together supporters, partners, and families united by a shared goal: to make a difference through joy, storytelling, and solidarity.
For those following from afar, the voyage will be livestreamed via the Pirate Blanc’s YouTube channel and social media platforms, allowing children and supporters to follow the ship’s progress from port to port.
With imagination, daring, and heart at its helm, BPM Foundation continues to put people at the centre of its mission. The Pirate Blanc may be a fictional sailor, but the hope he carries is anything but. This summer, one story—and one sail—at a time, kindness is catching the wind.
