The first day of summer struck a joyful chord across Monaco as the Principality came alive for the annual Fête de la Musique…

From the covered market square to the buzzing Port Hercule, musicians, singers, and DJs transformed the city into a celebration of rhythm, community, and sunshine-filled festivity on June 21st and 22nd.

Early in the evening, families and friends gathered at the Place du Marché, which turned into an impromptu concert hall where live music played against a backdrop of laughter, food, and togetherness. From old-school rock to more eclectic sounds, the square pulsed with good vibes and nostalgic energy. Locals enjoyed the relaxed setting, noting the importance of shared moments and the spirit of celebration. “It’s fun, friendly, and reminds me of my youth,” one attendee smiled, plate in hand.

As the sun dipped behind the horizon, attention turned to Port Hercule where internationally recognised Mosimann took to the stage. With lights dancing across the waterfront and crowds moving to the beat, the port transformed into an open-air dancefloor, drawing not only residents but also visitors from nearby Nice and beyond. The free concert was particularly appreciated by younger revellers who welcomed the opportunity to enjoy a vibrant nightlife moment in the heart of Monaco without stepping into a club.

For many, it was more than just a concert—it was a reminder of music’s power to bring people together. As Monaco ushers in another busy summer season, the tone is clear: celebration, culture, and community are once again centre stage.
