The former Court No.2 at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters was officially renamed in tribute to the late Baroness Elizabeth-Ann de Massy, a key figure in both Monegasque and international tennis. The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II and Melanie-Antoinette de Massy, President of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters and daughter of the Baroness on Saturday, April 5.

The renaming honours the Baroness’s enduring commitment to promoting tennis in the Principality. Now designated as the tournament’s third main court, the newly named Court Elizabeth-Ann de Massy will host up to four matches per day between April 5 and 10, becoming a key stage for high-profile showdowns.

More than 30 players competing in the 2025 edition of the tournament attended the ceremony, including top-10 stars such as Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic, Jack Draper, Holger Rune, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, as well as Grigor Dimitrov, Matteo Berrettini, Lorenzo Musetti, Richard Gasquet, and Monaco’s own Valentin Vacherot. Past champions Stan Wawrinka and Fabio Fognini also joined the tribute, reflecting the widespread respect the tennis world holds for the Baroness.

Following the inauguration, Melanie-Antoinette de Massy unveiled the new Players Village to the Sovereign, highlighting her vision to elevate the experience for players and their families. The revamped layout includes a specially created player path, linking facilities between the Monte-Carlo Beach Club and the Monte-Carlo Country Club via a temporary tunnel.

This development represents a 35 percent expansion of the tournament’s footprint, introducing new private, exclusive areas that underscore the tournament’s growing prestige and its status as one of the ATP Tour’s standout events.
