Under the direction of Pierre Debbas, the young choristers have been rehearsing at Monaco Cathedral ahead of an artistic residency hosted by the Hasdrubal Foundation for Culture and the Arts. The visit, their fourth to Tunisia, will include a performance at the Tunis Opera House.
Founded 52 years ago, the internationally renowned choir has performed in 45 countries, combining musical excellence with its role as a cultural ambassador for Monaco.

The Tunisian concert will feature a programme of sacred and secular music previously performed during the choir’s summer tour of Austria, Italy and Slovenia. Works by composers including Saint-Saëns, Fauré, Bernier and Rachmaninoff will be accompanied by traditional French and Monegasque songs.
Following their return, the young singers will begin rehearsing next year’s repertoire, as a concert tour of the United States is already planned. Before then, audiences in the Principality can hear the choir at Monaco Cathedral on November 19, as part of the National Day celebrations.
