A morning of coffee and canine companionship offered visitors the chance to meet some four-legged friends in need of loving homes, as Monaco’s animal shelter hosted its second Dogs & Coffee event at La Note Bleue…

Organised by the SPA Monaco on October 21, the initiative brought shelter dogs into a relaxed setting where members of the public could meet them, learn about their personalities and consider adoption. All proceeds from refreshments purchased during the event were donated to the shelter.

Five dogs took part, including Quincy, a nine-year-old Australian Shepherd, alongside beagles Enzo and Kenzo, miniature pinscher Grego and Brussels griffon Guismo.

The association hopes to organise these gatherings monthly, helping raise awareness of animals awaiting adoption. However, organisers emphasised that finding a permanent home requires careful consideration, with several meetings arranged to ensure a suitable match between each dog and its prospective owner.

Visitors also heard the heartwarming story of Laurent, who adopted Nino five months ago after volunteering at the shelter.

For those unable to adopt, donations are another way to support the animals. The SPA Monaco welcomes visitors every afternoon between 2pm and 5pm, without an appointment, offering opportunities to meet its dogs and cats.
