Monaco’s flourishing art scene has welcomed a new arrival, with London-founded digital art gallery TAEX opening its first permanent space in Mareterra…
Located within Le Renzo, the striking waterfront building designed by architect Renzo Piano, the gallery launches with Testing Ground, an exhibition by internationally acclaimed conceptual artist Kevin Abosch.
As reported by Artsy, TAEX was established in 2020 and has since developed an international presence at major art fairs, including Art Basel and Paris Photo. Founded by Inna Bazhenova, the gallery specialises in contemporary and digital art, exploring the relationship between artistic creativity and emerging technologies.

Its inaugural exhibition introduces visitors to Abosch’s distinctive approach to synthetic photography, in which computer-generated images resemble photographs of places that do not actually exist. Alongside previously unseen works created specifically for Monaco, visitors can discover pieces from his Ethical Work series and the intriguing Potato #345, dating from 2010.
Having previously presented exhibitions during the Monaco Grand Prix and collaborated with renowned performance artist Marina Abramović, TAEX now aims to establish a lasting cultural presence in the Principality. Testing Ground runs until November 30.
