Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene officially inaugurated a new nursery in Monaco on Tuesday, October 13, as the Principality continues to expand its childcare facilities for local families.

The royal couple attended the opening of the IDA nursery, located within the Héméra residence, formerly known as the Grand Ida development project. The inauguration brought together numerous figures from Monaco, marking the opening of a new facility dedicated to early childhood care.

Managed by Monaco Town Hall, the nursery has capacity for 30 children and offers 700 square metres of indoor space, alongside a 140-square-metre terrace. The facilities have been designed to provide young children with an environment suited to their development, comfort and wellbeing.

A team of 13 professionals will be responsible for welcoming and caring for the children, supporting their early development in a purpose-designed setting.

The opening of the IDA nursery adds to Monaco’s existing network of childcare facilities, as the Principality continues to address the needs of families and provide dedicated spaces for young children.

With its new facilities and specialist staff, the nursery represents a further addition to Monaco’s early years provision, reinforcing the importance placed on family services and childcare within the community.
