Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer has appointed Madeleine Munier as general manager of Monte-Carlo One – Courchevel, its first hotel development beyond Monaco…
Scheduled to welcome its first guests in December 2027, the property will take the Monte-Carlo name to an altitude of 1,850 metres in Courchevel’s prestigious Jardin Alpin. The ambitious development will comprise more than 12,500 square metres following extensive restructuring and expansion work.
As reported by Monaco-Matin, Munier confirmed her appointment on August 20 and will now oversee preparations for the opening, including the continuing construction programme and development of the hotel team. She previously spent nine years with luxury hotel group Airelles, including managing La Bastide de Gordes in Provence.
Monte-Carlo One – Courchevel will feature 56 rooms, including three Diamond Suites, alongside two exceptional 600-square-metre chalets. SBM also plans to bring some distinctly Monegasque flavour to the Alps, with the celebrated Le Grill from Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo among the restaurant concepts, alongside Monte-Carlo Club 1863.
The project represents a significant step in SBM’s international expansion, exporting what the group describes as the “Monte-Carlo spirit” from the Mediterranean to one of Europe’s most exclusive ski resorts.
