Edmond de Rothschild has opened a new headquarters in Monaco, marking a significant milestone after nearly 40 years in the Principality’s Carré d’Or…
The private bank has relocated to a purpose-built 11-storey building overlooking Place d’Armes, reflecting its long-term commitment to Monaco and its international client base.
Speaking to Monaco Info, Managing Director Gérard Ohresser described the move as a “magical moment” and said the new headquarters represents a fresh chapter for the bank. Nicknamed the group’s “flagship”, the building pays tribute to the Rothschild family’s passion for sailing, drawing inspiration from the record-breaking Gitana racing yachts.
The 5,300-square-metre headquarters has been designed with both clients and employees in mind. It features 18 individually designed reception rooms, a secure vault and customer areas spread across the ground floor and upper levels, while more than 270 employees benefit from modern workspaces equipped with the latest technology and adjustable sit-stand desks.
Ohresser said the bank remains firmly focused on serving Monaco’s local community, noting that more than 60 percent of its clients live in the Principality. To improve accessibility at its new location in La Condamine, the bank has introduced valet parking and a chauffeur service using a specially commissioned vehicle in Edmond de Rothschild colours.
The building also brings together other parts of the Edmond de Rothschild universe, including a new Caron perfume boutique on the ground floor, showcasing one of France’s oldest and most prestigious fragrance houses.
