Assembled over more than two decades, the collection spans the 1930s to the 1960s and offers a broad survey of one of Omega’s most important periods. Highlights include elegant dress watches, early Seamasters, Constellations, Chronomètres and unusual dial configurations, alongside examples chosen for the quality and rarity of their movements.
Goldberger is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in vintage watch collecting, with his books and scholarship helping shape the market’s understanding of important Rolex, Patek Philippe and Omega watches. His approach to the collection was guided by originality, condition and technical significance rather than fashion or commercial value.
Among the watches he has highlighted is Lot 19, a stainless-steel Chronomètre powered by the celebrated 30 T2 SC RG movement and fitted with a two-tone Arabic numeral dial. He has also pointed collectors towards Lot 39, a rare Seamaster acquired nearly 20 years ago at an IWJG convention in New York.
