Monaco’s official Monapass application now accepts Apple Pay and Google Pay, the Principality’s Digital Services Directorate announced this week, making it faster for residents and visitors to pay for transport, parking and cultural activities through the platform.

Launched in 2021, Monapass has grown into one of Monaco’s most used digital services, recording more than 1,450 unique users and around 2,700 ticket uses daily. The app allows users to purchase bus and MonaBike tickets, timed parking tickets, cinema seats, cultural exhibition tickets and entry to events including this summer’s Grimaldi Forum exhibition. The addition of contactless mobile payment options is part of a broader strategy by the Digital Services Directorate to simplify public services and make them more accessible in everyday use.Monapass is available in French and English on iPhone and Android. Users who need help setting up the new payment methods can contact the Monapass helpline on +377 98 98 99 29, or visit the Maison du Numérique advisers currently stationed at the Monaco Telecom boutique in Fontvieille, where free drop-in assistance is available without an appointment.
