Monaco has welcomed senior law enforcement representatives from around the world as part of an international gathering aimed at strengthening cooperation between police services and enhancing the exchange of expertise in tackling cross-border security challenges.
The Principality recently hosted 16 members of the French association RESOPOLIS, representing 12 countries across Europe, Africa and the Americas. The visit also included the participation of Georges Salinas, Director of France’s Directorate for International Security Cooperation (DCIS).Founded in 2008, RESOPOLIS is a non-profit organisation dedicated to fostering collaboration between police forces by encouraging professional exchanges, sharing operational experience and promoting a better understanding of policing systems in different countries.The association also supports the work of internal security attachés and liaison officers from almost 40 nationalities who operate within French and Monegasque jurisdictions, helping to facilitate international cooperation on a wide range of security issues.The meeting in Monaco provided an opportunity for participants to discuss best practices and strengthen professional relationships with the Principality’s Directorate of Public Security.Officials said the event reflected Monaco’s ongoing commitment to international police cooperation and to maintaining close partnerships with security agencies worldwide as countries continue to address increasingly complex transnational threats.
