The Sovereign expressed his deepest thoughts for the victims, their families and residents directly affected, saying that Princess Charlene, their family and he stood alongside them with compassion and unwavering support. He also praised the professionalism of Monaco’s Public Security officers, whose swift response ensured the rapid treatment of those injured and the securing of the scene.

Prince Albert II confirmed that, under the authority of the Government, all relevant state services remain fully mobilised and are working closely with the French authorities as the investigation continues. He said he had full confidence that investigators would quickly establish the circumstances surrounding the attack, identify those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice.

Reaffirming Monaco’s determination in the face of violence, the Sovereign declared that the Principality would remain united and resolute against crime. He stressed that the safety and security of Monaco’s community has always been a fundamental priority and would continue to be protected, regardless of the threats the country may face.
