As Monaco approaches one of its most motorsport-focused weekends of the year, Le Quai des Artistes has unveiled a new exhibition celebrating the artistic side of racing culture…
Titled “Motors”, the group exhibition brings together 13 artists whose work explores the world of automobiles, Formula 1 and speed through painting, sculpture, graffiti art and mixed-media installations. The exhibition will remain on display until the end of June.
Several artists created original works specifically for the Monaco show, taking inspiration from the Principality’s deep connection to motorsport and the famous street circuit located just outside the restaurant. Among the highlights are new collage and sculptural pieces by artist Rice, including a metal artwork featuring miniature cars designed to be repositioned like a race in progress.
Other featured works include three-dimensional creations by Francis Pvyf and black-and-white compositions by Gérardon Gautier incorporating authentic Formula 1 mechanical elements such as brake discs and pistons embedded within melted plexiglass.
Organisers described the exhibition as an opportunity for artists to step outside their usual creative comfort zones while offering visitors a fresh perspective on motorsport culture beyond the roar of engines and race-day spectacle.
Le Quai des Artistes, long associated with Monaco’s creative and motorsport communities, continues its programme of rotating monthly exhibitions designed to bring contemporary art into the heart of the Principality’s social scene.
