After a four-month closure for extensive refurbishment, La Rascasse has officially reopened, unveiling a bold new identity that blends its historic charm with a striking tribute to motorsport. The works, overseen by Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, mark a fresh chapter for one of the Principality’s most recognisable nightlife venues.
Overlooking Port Hercule and the famed hairpin of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit, the venue now embraces a racing-inspired concept throughout. The redesigned interior features a ceiling installation crafted from engine components, a checkered floor echoing starting grids, and a bold red-and-white palette. Historic race imagery lines the walls, while displays include racing suits and helmets, notably that of Monegasque Formula One driver Charles Leclerc.
A fixture of Monaco’s social scene for more than seven decades, La Rascasse has evolved into a chic sports bar that merges the energy of competition with a lively, contemporary atmosphere. The venue continues to position itself as both a daytime meeting point and a late-night destination.
From early evening, guests can gather for afterwork drinks on the terrace or indoors, with views directly onto one of the most iconic corners in motorsport. Live music sets the tone from Thursday through Saturday, before DJ performances take over later in the night. The programming reflects a seamless transition from relaxed socialising to high-energy nightlife.
The refreshed menu introduces a selection of signature cocktails and sharing plates. Creations such as the “Rascasse Paddock,” “Pit Stop,” and “Pole Position” highlight the venue’s thematic direction, while a range of gourmet finger foods and desserts complements the offering.
Originally a fisherman’s hut, La Rascasse has steadily grown into a cornerstone of Monaco’s entertainment landscape. Since joining Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer in 2011, it has cemented its reputation as a prime venue for both major sporting broadcasts and vibrant evenings out.
With its latest transformation, La Rascasse reinforces its status as a must-visit address—where Monaco’s passion for motorsport meets its enduring taste for celebration.
