At the Greenshift Festival, ecological awareness went hand in hand with personal wellbeing, offering a more holistic approach to sustainability…

From its very first edition, organisers placed emphasis on reconnecting with oneself as a foundation for reconnecting with others and the environment, a philosophy that carried through to the festival’s close on Saturday evening.

Through its partnership with the Kate Powers Foundation, the festival offered a range of immersive sessions designed to support this vision. Activities included yoga, breathing workshops and sound therapy, all linked to the festival’s wider themes. These practices encouraged participants to slow down, refocus and rediscover a deeper connection with nature.

Rather than separating environmental action from personal health, the festival highlighted how closely the two are intertwined. The idea was simple: when individuals feel more balanced and aware, they are better equipped to engage positively with their surroundings and community.

For many attendees, the experience also provided an opportunity to explore new approaches to wellbeing. First-time participants discovering sound therapy described a sense of relaxation and reconnection, both physically and emotionally.

By combining environmental awareness with inner balance, the Greenshift Festival offered a different perspective on ecological transition, one that placed human wellbeing at its core.
