Six men have been brought before a judge following a series of organised burglaries targeting luxury homes near Monaco, marking the culmination of a months-long investigation by French authorities…

The group is suspected of carrying out coordinated thefts in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, focusing on high-value items including watches, leather goods and cash. As reported by Monaco Matin, the investigation began earlier this year after authorities identified suspicious behaviour consistent with surveillance of potential targets.

Intercepted communications pointed to a structured operation, with individuals allegedly working together to identify, access and dispose of stolen goods. One suspect was initially linked to a February burglary involving luxury items, while further incidents helped investigators connect additional individuals to the network.

A second robbery in early April accelerated the inquiry, leading to the arrest of six suspects by the Research and Intervention Brigade. Searches carried out during the operation uncovered stolen luxury items, along with cash and a vehicle believed to be connected to the crimes.

During questioning, responses varied, with some suspects denying involvement while at least one admitted participation in a robbery. Prosecutors noted that several of those arrested were already known to authorities for previous organised crime offences.

All six individuals appeared in court for an immediate hearing, as the case highlights ongoing concerns around targeted luxury thefts in the region.
