Christmas arrived ahead of schedule at the Prince’s Palace this week, as hundreds of Monegasque children were welcomed for a festive celebration in the heart of the Principality…
Long before 25 December, Santa Claus had already made his visit, helping to create a magical afternoon in the palace’s main courtyard, beautifully decorated for the occasion.
Children aged between five and twelve gathered to take part in the traditional Christmas tree event, beginning with a live show that set a joyful tone. The highlight came when gifts were personally handed out by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II and Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, joined by members of the Princely Family, including Princess Stéphanie, Louis Ducruet and Camille Gottlieb. For many families, the moment was filled with emotion, blending the excitement of young children with the nostalgia of parents who once attended the same event themselves.
Smiles, laughter and wide-eyed anticipation filled the courtyard as children eagerly unwrapped their presents, proudly showing off toys ranging from superhero race tracks to dragons and cooking sets. The chance to see the Princely Family up close added an extra layer of magic to the day, making the experience unforgettable for many of the young guests.
Beyond the gifts, the event reflected Monaco’s strong sense of community and tradition, bringing generations together in a shared celebration. As the festive season approaches, this early Christmas gathering offered a heartwarming reminder of the importance of family, continuity and joy at the very centre of life in the Principality.
