The Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival has unveiled its 2026 programme, marking the start of a new edition shaped once again by artistic ambition and bold musical imagination…

The announcement was made on Friday, December 5, at the Oceanographic Museum, where Artistic Director Bruno Mantovani presented the upcoming season alongside Government Counsellors–Ministers Lionel Beffre and Pierre-André Chiappori, Cultural Affairs Director Françoise Gamerdinger, and numerous distinguished guests from across the Principality.

Set under the theme of instrumental utopia, the 42nd edition will run from March 11 to April 19, 2026, offering an expansive programme of 27 concerts and 12 world premieres. True to its spirit of innovation, the festival will explore unexpected encounters between tradition, experimentation and contemporary creation.

Several standout events promise to make this edition particularly memorable. For the first time in its history, a concert will take place inside the Prince of Monaco’s Car Collection, transforming one of the Principality’s most iconic spaces into a unique acoustic setting. Another highlight will see a tenor and countertenor engage in a vocal “battle” on Vivaldi’s repertoire, staged amid the dramatic atmosphere of the Oceanographic Museum.

The festival will close with a celebration of Indian raga, paying tribute to one of the world’s oldest and most expressive musical traditions, and broadening the festival’s multicultural reach.

With its daring artistic choices and a programme that blends heritage with invention, the 2026 Spring Arts Festival reaffirms Monte-Carlo’s place as a major destination for music lovers and cultural explorers alike.
