Monaco’s much-loved Fontvieille Kermesse will return to the big tent on Saturday, December 6, with organisers inviting residents to begin donating items ahead of the popular charity sale.
Pre-collection begins on Saturday, November 15 and runs through to Thursday, December 4, at the street-level car park at 14 avenue de Grande-Bretagne. Donations will be accepted every day except Sundays. Organisers stress that items must not be delivered to St Paul’s Church due to a lack of storage space.
As in previous years, proceeds from the Kermesse — one of Monaco’s longest-running community fundraising events — will support local churches and charities. The annual fair typically draws large crowds to the Fontvieille marquee, with stalls offering books, clothing, homeware, toys, festive decorations and baked goods.
Volunteers say preparations are well under way and are encouraging the public to contribute early to make this year’s edition the strongest yet. “We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back,” one organiser said, adding that the community’s generosity remains the driving force behind the event’s success.
The Kermesse will open its doors on Saturday, December 6, marking the start of Monaco’s festive season with its signature mix of goodwill, bargain-hunting and cheerful chaos.
