The Monaco Economic Board (MEB) hosted a major Slovak delegation on Tuesday at the Novotel Monte-Carlo, marking a new step in Monaco’s strategy to deepen international economic partnerships…

The day was built around a business conference and targeted B2B meetings designed to explore concrete opportunities between the Principality and Slovakia. The event drew a wide range of entrepreneurs from both countries, with discussions covering logistics, advanced technologies, architecture, printing, and specialised services. According to participants, the diversity of sectors represented on each side made it possible to identify real prospects for collaboration. “We have strong technological industries in Slovakia, alongside logistics and manufacturing expertise. Here in Monaco, companies operate in more niche markets. Together, there are many points of complementarity,” one Slovak representative explained.

Slovakia’s economic momentum was also highlighted. Often described as one of Eastern Europe’s “tiger economies,” it continues to show robust growth despite regional instability. Delegates noted that Slovak investment in Monaco-linked ventures has already proven successful, citing a major 2016 project that created 250 jobs, and expressed a clear interest in renewing and expanding such cooperation.

For the MEB, the encounter illustrated once again the organisation’s commitment to opening new doors for Monegasque companies abroad and to positioning Monaco as a dynamic player in global business networks.

On the sidelines of the visit, the Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blanár, paid a courtesy call to his Monegasque counterpart, Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, further underscoring the deepening diplomatic and economic dialogue between the two nations.
