AS Monaco’s summer signings are already having an impact off the pitch…
With less than three weeks until the Ligue 1 season opener against Le Havre, supporters have been flooding the club’s official store to get their hands on the new kits; especially the one bearing Paul Pogba’s name.
The arrival of Pogba and Spanish star Ansu Fati has ignited a wave of excitement among fans and tourists alike, with sales of red-and-white shirts surging. “I saw the new away jersey and thought it looked great,” said one customer, who added that Pogba’s signing made it a must-have. Another visitor admitted he wasn’t a Monaco supporter but couldn’t resist buying a Pogba jersey while passing through the Principality.
While supporters stock up on gear, Monaco’s players continue pre-season preparations. The squad is currently in its fifth week of training, including a double friendly against Torino at La Turbie, one of which is closed to the public, and a final match in Amsterdam against Ajax. That game will be broadcast live on Sunday. All eyes now turn to August 16, when fans hope to see Pogba make his long-awaited debut.
