Christophe Mirmand, Monaco’s recently appointed Minister of State, continued his introduction to the Principality’s key institutions on Tuesday with a visit to the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (EESC)…
The EESC, which serves as Monaco’s second consultative chamber alongside the National Council, plays an essential role in providing opinions and proposals on economic, social, and environmental matters affecting the Principality. Its broad remit includes reviewing draft laws, offering recommendations, and giving a voice to Monaco’s various civil society actors.
He was welcomed by Council President Caroline Rougaignon-Vernin and the visit was part of a broader initiative to familiarise himself with Monaco’s institutional framework, just days after taking office. During his meeting, he learned more about the internal workings of the EESC, its current priorities, and the structure of its assemblies. The visit was also an opportunity for open discussion about how the Council contributes to public debate and governance in the Principality.
This latest institutional meeting reflects the new Minister of State’s commitment to close collaboration with all sectors of Monegasque public life as he begins his mandate.
