A striking new exhibition by contemporary artist Éric Massholder is now on view at the Camilla Gallery on Boulevard du Larvotto…
Titled For Vincent: Timeless Connections, the show pays tribute to Vincent van Gogh through a series of powerful, expressive works that reinterpret the spirit of the Dutch master without imitation. The exhibition runs until 15 September and offers a unique artistic dialogue across centuries—between two artists, two temperaments, and two eras.
Massholder’s canvases are ablaze with bold colour, urgent brushwork, and raw emotion. At the heart of the exhibition is a shared sensitivity between the two painters—one that finds solace, purpose, and even therapy through the act of creation. Like Van Gogh, Massholder turns to nature and art not simply as subjects but as lifelines, exploring their capacity to heal and to express the inexpressible.
Rather than emulate Van Gogh’s style, Massholder channels the emotional depth and intensity of his work, crafting pieces that feel like echoes of a kindred soul. Each painting reflects an internal search—an attempt to answer the crises and uncertainties of our times with light, energy, and sincerity.
The exhibition offers more than a homage; it becomes a space for reflection, identity, and connection. Through layered textures, fluid movement, and visceral tones, For Vincent: Timeless Connections invites viewers to step into a conversation—between past and present, pain and hope, solitude and solidarity.
The exhibition is open to the public until 15 September at the Camilla Gallery, located at 3 Avenue Princesse Grace.
