Maona, Monaco’s iconic seaside restaurant, has reopened its doors for the summer season with a completely new concept celebrating the spirit of Mykonos…

Reinvented in 2023 by the Société des Bains de Mer, Maona has traded its retro-chic décor for a fresh aesthetic inspired by the emblematic colours and vibrancy of the Greek islands.

The menu this season focuses on refined Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, highlighting convivial dishes perfect for sharing. Signature offerings include wild fish prepared as carpaccio, grilled, or in a squid-ink black salt crust, alongside Greek classics such as lamb souvlaki, tiropita, saganaki, and fresh Greek salads. “The idea is to treat each customer in the way they want,” explained the team, underlining the restaurant’s commitment to tailored dining experiences with authentic Greek flair.

Maona is also enhancing its reputation as a destination for celebration. While its lively musical evenings remain a highlight, the restaurant now offers festive daytime experiences with two lunch services at 1pm and 3pm. The first service is family and pet friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all, while the second shifts into full party mode as guests dance on tables to DJ sets, saxophonists, and live percussion performances as the sun sets over the Mediterranean.

This summer, Maona promises an immersive experience combining elegance, gastronomy, and celebration by the sea. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet seaside lunch or dancing into the golden evening hours, the restaurant invites guests to savour Monaco’s art of living in true Greek island style – all with your feet in the water for an unforgettable Riviera season.
