Anne Eastwood, Monaco’s Ambassador to Italy, was recognised at the 10th edition of the prestigious Renato Cesarini Awards during a glittering gala at the Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova Marche. The event, held on May 27, celebrated excellence across sport, media, and diplomacy—honouring individuals who embody the values of resilience, tenacity, and leadership.
Named after the legendary Italian footballer known for his last-minute goals, the Renato Cesarini Award paid tribute to Ambassador Eastwood’s tireless efforts in bolstering ties between Monaco and Italy. Her diplomatic work was lauded as a vital force in fostering economic, cultural, and environmental cooperation between the two nations.
The evening also celebrated sporting greats and media figures, with appearances from Atalanta striker Ademola Lookman—applauded for his dramatic 98th-minute goal—alongside Italian football icons Roberto Pruzzo and Franco Causio. Other honourees included former AS Roma president Rosella Sensi and broadcaster Simona Rolandi, recognised for La Domenica Sportiva, named best sports show of the 2024–25 season.
In her speech, Eastwood highlighted diplomacy’s quiet power in shaping international partnerships, calling the relationship between Monaco and Italy “a shared commitment to progress and mutual respect”. Her award marks a symbolic nod to the principality’s growing presence on the international stage—not just in glamour, but in genuine diplomatic impact.
