The Principality of Monaco has once again positioned itself at the forefront of international dialogue by hosting the first European Summit of the FCEM (Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises Mondiales), the global network of women business leaders…
Bringing together more than 100 participants from 16 countries, the summit served as a platform for collaboration, mentoring, and bold new ideas on economic leadership from a female perspective.
Held at the Méridien Beach Plaza, the event celebrated women who have broken the glass ceiling—ranging from SME founders and start-up innovators to the heads of major corporations. Across a series of panels and discussions, themes such as ecological transition, artificial intelligence, innovation, digitalisation, and sustainable development were explored. Participants also addressed the often-taboo topic of work-life balance, with many sharing their personal sacrifices and triumphs in reconciling professional ambition with family responsibilities.
Johanna Houdrouge, President of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Monaco and the summit’s host, described the event as a historic moment. “This gathering demonstrates our collective drive to build a more inclusive, resilient, and visionary European economy,” she said. “When women lead, they bring different priorities, perspectives, and solutions. That’s a strength we must build on.”
B2B sessions allowed for practical exchanges and future partnerships, particularly supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. As FCEM celebrates its 80th anniversary, the Monaco summit not only honoured the past but laid the groundwork for the future. With Monaco now firmly on the FCEM map, the next step will be the global congress in Athens later this year.
