TAG Heuer has marked the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix in true motorsport style, unveiling three new Monaco timepieces that pay tribute to the most prestigious race on the Formula 1 calendar. Celebrating both the glamour of Monte Carlo and the brand’s deep-rooted racing heritage, the new releases blend high-tech innovation with iconic design — and just in time for the first Grand Prix under the banner of LVMH’s new sponsorship deal with Formula 1.
The first of the trio is the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch — a limited-edition release of just 970 pieces. It features a 39mm DLC-coated titanium case and a striking dial inspired by Heuer’s vintage split-second pocket watches. The watch boasts a black centre dial with blue Super-LumiNova, black-gold hands and indices, and red chronograph details that recall classic timekeeping instruments. Powered by the Caliber 11 automatic movement, it offers hours, minutes, running seconds, a 30-minute counter, and a date window, all with a 42-hour power reserve. It’s priced at approximately €9,890.
Taking things to the extreme is the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph, crafted in an exclusive, in-house developed material called TH-Titanium. This texturised titanium alloy gives the case a digital camo look, created through a heat treatment process. The movement, also made from titanium and finished in black DLC, is a rattrapante (split-seconds) chronograph that runs at 36,000 vibrations per hour and delivers a 65-hour power reserve. With neon lime green accents and a skeletonised dial, the entire watch weighs just 86 grams — a featherweight marvel with a €149,350 price tag to match.

For fans of classic racing heritage, TAG Heuer has revived the legendary Gulf Oil livery with the Monaco Chronograph x Gulf. This model brings the unmistakable blue and orange stripes to a silver fine-grain dial, along with the Gulf logo — a throwback to the Porsche 917 made famous by Steve McQueen in the 1971 film Le Mans. Also limited in number, this time to 971 pieces, the watch features a sandblasted Grade 2 titanium case and uses the same Caliber 11 movement as the Stopwatch model. It’s priced at approximately €9,580.
TAG Heuer’s latest Monaco releases underscore the brand’s commitment to motorsport — not just in name, but in spirit. From cutting-edge materials to historic racing liveries, each watch reflects a different facet of Formula 1’s rich legacy. With the Monaco Grand Prix in full swing and the streets of Monte Carlo roaring to life, these timepieces are a timely tribute to the race that defines the sport — and a stylish reminder that some legends are made to be worn.
