After its annual winter closure, the legendary Monte-Carlo Beach hotel has reopened its doors and launched an ambitious multi-year transformation…
With a vision to blend timeless Riviera glamour with modern sensibilities and sustainability, the renovation will unfold in stages until 2027, culminating in the hotel’s 100th anniversary in 2029.
Nestled on the shores of the Mediterranean, Monte-Carlo Beach is not just reopening but reinventing itself. The renovation plan promises to preserve the Art Deco soul of the historic property while elevating its offering to meet the demands of today’s discerning clientele. For the 2025 season, key upgrades include the complete redesign of the Olympic swimming pool and the adjacent Le Deck restaurant. Interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon has brought a fresh, chic touch to the space, complemented by a refined new menu that signals a shift toward upscale, responsible dining.
The transformation also includes new padel courts and other facilities aimed at reinforcing Monte-Carlo Beach’s identity as a vibrant social, sporting, and seaside retreat. General Manager Danièle Garcelon confirmed that the establishment aims to deepen its positioning as a contemporary beach club, one where community and connection matter as much as luxury and style.
Environmental responsibility is also at the heart of this evolution. Sustainable materials, energy efficiency, and water conservation are central pillars of the renovation strategy. “It’s a transformation built around consciousness and elegance,” said Garcelon, highlighting the synergy with sister property Elsa, whose Michelin-starred cuisine is based on responsible fishing and seasonality.
As the countdown to its centenary begins, each season at Monte-Carlo Beach becomes a meaningful chapter in the hotel’s living legend; a tribute to its illustrious past and a commitment to a sustainable, stylish future.
