Bruno Dalles, currently serving as the Attorney General at the Court of Appeal in Nouméa, has been appointed as the new Director of the Autorité Monégasque de Sécurité Financière (AMSF)…

He will assume his duties on March 3, succeeding Sophie Thévenoux, who has held the position since January 29, 2024.

The AMSF, an independent administrative authority, was established to replace SICCFIN as part of Monaco’s reinforced efforts to combat money laundering, terrorist financing, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and corruption.

A seasoned magistrate, Dalles brings a wealth of experience in financial intelligence and public finance oversight. From 2015 to 2019, he was the Director of TRACFIN, France’s national financial intelligence unit, which is the French counterpart of AMSF. Following this, from 2019 to 2022, he served as Administrator General of Public Finances and Regional Director of Public Finances for Centre-Val de Loire and the Loiret department. Since August 2022, he has led the General Prosecutor’s Office in Nouméa.

With his extensive expertise in financial security, public finance, and anti-money laundering efforts, Dalles is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening Monaco’s regulatory framework and ensuring continued compliance with international financial standards. His leadership at AMSF comes at a critical time as the Principality works to meet its commitments following its inclusion on the FATF grey list, demonstrating its determination to enhance financial transparency and security.
