Excitement is building for the third edition of Monaco pour l’Emploi, set to take place next Monday at the Grimaldi Forum. This year’s event promises to be bigger than ever, with over 3,800 pre-registered attendees—double last year’s figure. Beyond its role as a major networking and recruitment opportunity, the fair will also mark a key development for seasonal workers in the Principality, as an agreement will be signed between Monaco’s Association of Hotel Industries (AIHM), the government, and CROUS, the French regional student housing organisation.
Monaco’s job market continues to thrive, with employment figures rising 3.8 percent in 2024, bringing the total number of workers to over 60,000. The luxury sector remains a major draw at the fair, with global brands looking to expand their presence in the Principality. Yachting will also have a strong presence this year, as industry leaders—including the Yacht Club de Monaco and the Monaco Yacht Show—seek skilled professionals to support the sector’s continued growth.
One of the most significant developments is a new initiative to ease the housing burden for seasonal workers. The agreement with CROUS will grant access to university residences in Nice from April to September, providing a much-needed accommodation solution for employees in hospitality and tourism. If successful, the program could eventually expand to year-round housing options.
In addition to employment opportunities, Monaco’s digital transformation will also be on display. A new online job portal will be unveiled, offering streamlined access to career resources and digital services through YourMonaco. Visitors will also benefit from a QR code system for navigating the event. While the direct impact of Monaco pour l’Emploi is difficult to quantify, stories of attendees securing jobs months after the event highlight its success. As one jobseeker-turned-executive put it, the forum was a life-changing opportunity—a sentiment likely to be echoed by many more this year.
