This winter, why not try Teqball, a dynamic sport blending elements of football and table tennis..?
Through a collaboration between the Teqball Association of Monaco and the Town Hall, specially adapted tables have been installed near the nautical stadium, offering residents and visitors a chance to experience this rapidly growing global phenomenon.
Teqball, created in 2015, has quickly gained international traction, with professional tournaments and World Cups now part of its repertoire. Similar to the meteoric rise of padel, Teqball is carving its place in the world of sport, attracting both amateur enthusiasts and seasoned athletes. One of its champions is former AS Monaco goalkeeper Julien Grondin, who has embraced the sport fully and now ranks among the world’s top players.
“I stopped football entirely to focus on Teqball,” Grondin shares. “It brings back values I had missed—competition without contact, camaraderie, and a positive mentality. It’s friendly yet fiercely competitive.”
Whether playing singles or doubles, participants must return the ball within three touches, and the first to score 12 points wins.
Until January 5, anyone, young or old, can try their hand at Teqball, with demonstrations and guidance from top players. This is your chance to explore a sport that combines strategy, skill, and sheer enjoyment—right in the heart of Monaco.
