To mark the Holy Year 2025, the Principality of Monaco has issued a commemorative stamp featuring the Jubilee logo, “Pilgrims of Hope.” This special initiative reflects Monaco’s deep connection to its Catholic heritage and its dedication to significant milestones in the life of the Church.

On December 18, 2024, His Excellency Philippe Orengo, Monaco’s Ambassador to the Holy See, had the honour of personally presenting the commemorative items to His Holiness Pope Francis. The presentation included a triptych crafted specifically for the occasion. The triptych contained the Jubilee stamp, a first-day-of-issue stamped envelope, and a block of ten stamps adorned with illuminated lettering, inscribed with the words “Holy Year 2025 decreed by Pope Francis.”

Additionally, a high-philately insert, symbolically numbered 2025, was presented to the Pope. This exclusive piece included the new Jubilee stamp and a collection of stamps issued for the Holy Year 2000, which depicted the Twelve Apostles.

Through this gesture, Monaco reaffirmed its profound reverence for the Holy Father and underscored the Principality’s strong ties to the Catholic Church, which remains its state religion. This act of homage further highlights Monaco’s commitment to celebrating the spiritual significance of the Jubilee Year.
