On December 17, 2024, a significant step toward enhancing asset management processes in Monaco was taken with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Service de Gestion des Avoirs Saisis ou Confisqués (SGA) and the Principality’s bailiffs…
Representing the SGA, Director Richard Dubant formalized the agreement alongside Maître Claire Notari, Maître Patricia Grimaud-Palmero, and Maître Frédéric Lefevre, who represented the bailiffs.
This agreement establishes a clear framework for collaboration between the two entities, ensuring the effective handling of seized or confiscated assets. It outlines the specific responsibilities that may be assigned to bailiffs by the SGA, the annual allocation of tasks, and the coordination of activities to streamline operations.
On an operational level, the agreement enables the SGA to leverage the expertise of the bailiffs at various stages, from initial criminal asset seizures to the subsequent confiscation phase, in accordance with Monaco’s legal framework. This partnership aims to enhance efficiency and compliance in the management of such assets.
By formalizing this collaboration, Monaco reaffirms its commitment to maintaining high standards in legal and judicial processes, further strengthening its framework for the responsible and transparent handling of seized or confiscated property.
