The Yacht Club de Monaco hosted the Outward Bound Monaco annual awards ceremony on Wednesday, December 4, celebrating 15 students from Monaco who participated in the program’s challenging summer courses in England and Wales.

The ceremony was graced by HSH Prince Albert II, Patron of Outward Bound Monaco, who presented certificates to the students, commending their courage, resilience, and determination in overcoming the demanding challenges of the program. Also in attendance was Lord Sebastian Coe, along with families, friends, patrons, and members of the association.

Sarah O’Connor, President of Outward Bound Monaco, highlighted the transformative impact of the program: “Outward Bound aims to help young people realise they can achieve more than they thought possible, not as an aspiration, but as a belief grounded in physical experience. By stepping out of their comfort zones and embracing adventures in the wild, participants learn to face challenges, build self-awareness, and grow in confidence.”

The event was a proud moment for the 10 to 17 year-old participants. Their experiences not only tested their abilities but also rewarded them with a sense of accomplishment.

In her remarks, O’Connor expressed gratitude to the supporters, helpers, and especially HSH Prince Albert II for his continued dedication to the program, as well as Lord Sebastian Coe for his presence and encouragement.

Registrations for the 2025 courses are now open. For more information, visit www.outwardboundmonaco.info or contact Vanessa at Vanessa@outwardboundmonaco.com.
