Monaco’s Coordination and Monitoring Committee for the national strategy to combat money laundering, terrorism financing, and corruption convened its first meeting on Thursday, December 5, under the leadership of the Minister of State, Didier Guillaume.

Acknowledging significant progress, Guillaume commended authorities and state services for achievements in recent months, including increased administrative sanctions, heightened scrutiny of money laundering convictions, and a rise in the seizure of assets suspected to be of illicit origin.

The committee reaffirmed its commitment to removing Monaco from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list, with a progress report scheduled for submission in May 2025, aligned with the FATF Action Plan established earlier this year. Looking ahead, Monaco is already drafting a 2025-2027 strategy to sustain and enhance these efforts.
