The Fédération Monégasque d’Athlétisme (FMA) has announced that Monaco has been selected to host the European Small Countries Championships on May 30, 2026…

This prestigious event, supported by European Athletics, will bring together athletes from 18 small European nations, including Andorra, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cyprus, Georgia, Gibraltar, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Moldova, North Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, San Marino, and Monaco.

Set to take place at the iconic Stade Louis II, the championships promise a day of intense competition and camaraderie, showcasing the athletic talent and sportsmanship of these smaller nations. The event provides a unique platform for these countries to shine on the international athletics stage.

The 2026 Championships will also serve as a vital milestone in the lead-up to the 2027 Games of the Small States of Europe, which Monaco is also set to host.
