The Roca Team and Coach Sasa Obradovic Part Ways

The Roca Team announced on the evening of Monday, November 18 that the club and head coach Sasa Obradovic have mutually agreed to end their collaboration. The decision comes one day after Monaco suffered a home defeat to Le Mans in the French Betclic Elite championship.

Sasa Obradovic, who took the helm of the team in December 2020, leaves behind a remarkable legacy. Under his leadership, the Roca Team secured two French championship titles, a French Cup, and achieved a historic qualification for the Euroleague Final Four, solidifying Monaco’s position among Europe’s basketball elite.

For the upcoming Euroleague clash against Asvel on Thursday, November 21, assistant coach Manuchar Markoishvili will step in as interim coach.

The departure marks the end of a nearly four-year tenure during which Obradovic’s impact on Monaco’s basketball journey was profound. His contributions to the team’s success have left a lasting mark on the Principality’s sports scene.
