The She Said Yes exhibition, featuring the works of Eva Claessens and Julian Lennon, places HSH Princess Charlene in the spotlight. Running from Thursday, November 14 to Friday, December 6 at the Moretti Fine Art gallery, the exhibition showcases a unique interplay of Claessens’ sculptures and Lennon’s photography, including his acclaimed portraits of Princess Charlene.
Julian Lennon’s photographs of Princess Charlene stand as a testament to her poise and elegance, capturing the moments before she left the Hôtel Hermitage to marry HSH Prince Albert II on July 2, 2011. These images resonate deeply with Claessens’ Embrace series, creating a dialogue between the serene intimacy of her sculptures and Lennon’s ability to convey universal emotions through his lens.
A highlight of the exhibition includes Claessens’ marble sculpture L’Amour, juxtaposed with Lennon’s Heaven’s Above, a cloudscape from his Atmospheria collection. Together, the artists craft a celebration of form, beauty, and timelessness, all while honouring Princess Charlene’s role as a cultural icon of Monaco.
