From November 5 to 10, Monaco showcased its entrepreneurial flair on the global stage as 17 Monegasque companies participated in the prestigious China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai…
With over 400,000 Chinese buyers and 3,500 exhibitors from 130 countries in attendance, the event provided an unparalleled opportunity for Monaco’s businesses to tap into the vast Chinese market.
The Monaco Pavilion, strategically located in the country zone near the China Pavilion, served as a vibrant hub for innovation and culture. Supported by the Monaco Economic Board and Monaco’s promotional office in Singapore, the pavilion featured diverse sectors, from renewable energy and real estate to luxury jewellery and agri-food products. Among the stars were ASM FC and APM Monaco, both already well-known names in China, which enjoyed prominent displays that drew considerable attention.
Visitors to the pavilion were treated to bespoke events, such as a thought-provoking conference on “Sustainability & Luxury” by Estelle Dinh of the International University of Monaco and a networking cocktail reception hosted by La Distillerie de Monaco.
Marie-Pascale Boisson, Monaco’s Ambassador to China, emphasized the significance of the event, stating that it was a critical platform for local businesses to build relationships with Chinese buyers and partners. Adding to the pavilion’s success was a visit from Mrs. Feng Hsu, Monaco’s Consul in Shanghai, who offered invaluable insights to participants on navigating the Chinese market.
For Monaco’s businesses, the CIIE marked not just a challenge but a triumph, solidifying their presence in one of the world’s most dynamic economies.
