Monaco held its annual commemoration of the 1918 Armistice this morning, marking the end of World War I on Monday, November 11. The event was attended by members of the Municipal Council, His Excellency Minister of State Didier Guillaume, and other high-ranking officials from the Principality.

The ceremony began with the laying of wreaths at the monument honouring King Albert I of Belgium on Boulevard de Belgique. The gathering then moved to the Monaco Cemetery, where officials and attendees held a traditional Remembrance ceremony at the War Memorial, paying tribute to those who lost their lives in both World Wars. The ceremony featured moving performances by the Carabinieri Orchestra and the Municipal Music.

The commemorative events concluded with a gathering at the Maison de France, reflecting Monaco’s ongoing commitment to honouring the memory of those who served and sacrificed.
