As Monaco gears up for Fête Nationale 2024 on November 19, the Mairie de Monaco has set in motion an impressive display of the Principality’s red and white colours…
Starting November 4, the Services Techniques Communaux team began adorning the city with flags, banners, and oriflammes, bringing vibrancy to neighbourhoods across the length and breadth of Monaco.
To ensure a seamless setup, day and night teams have been working tirelessly. The daytime team handles manual installations, using ladders for simpler tasks, while the night team, equipped with a nacelle, takes on more complex displays. In total, around 600 oriflammes, 550 flags, and 90 banners will be installed, encompassing over 150 interventions.
New additions this year include decorations along Boulevard de Belgique, the roundabout near Parc Princesse Antoinette, the city’s entrance opposite Monte-Carlo Bay, Allée Lazare Sauvaigo, and Promenade Honoré II. The decorations will remain in place until December 10, 2024.
Residents and citizens are encouraged to join the festivities by decorating their facades, windows, and balconies with Monegasque flags, displaying their support for the Princely Family and pride in their nation. The Mairie advises that the red portion of flags should be positioned above the white, and for banners and oriflammes, the red should be on the left when viewed from outside.
