Monaco hosted the 3rd Wealth-Tech Summit, focusing on the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Investment: New Frontiers in Finance,” on Thursday, October 17. Organised by the Inter-ministerial Delegation for Digital Transition and the Government’s Attractiveness Unit, in partnership with the Monaco Association of Financial Activities (AMAF), the event brought together over 100 bankers, investors, and financial experts at One Monte-Carlo. Present at the event were Frédéric Genta, Inter-ministerial Delegate for Attractiveness and Digital Transition, and Robert Laure, President of AMAF.
Now in its third year, the Wealth-Tech Summit has become a key platform for showcasing the latest innovations and emerging trends in wealth management technology. In his opening remarks, Robert Laure emphasised the transformative impact of AI on the financial sector, noting that the industry is at a pivotal moment where technology, particularly artificial intelligence, is redefining roles, responsibilities, and strategies within banking institutions. Laure remarked that AI is no longer just a future promise but a present reality, already reshaping how banks operate, analyse, and serve their clients.
During the event, experts highlighted how generative AI is revolutionising financial services by enabling personalised investment recommendations, tailored credit offers, and advanced automation of internal processes. Additionally, AI’s role in strengthening cybersecurity was emphasised, with its ability to detect threats in real-time, automate responses to incidents, and anticipate future attacks, making businesses more resilient.
The summit concluded with a consensus that AI offers significant advantages for the financial sector. Not only does it improve asset protection, but it also enhances market forecasting capabilities. Frédéric Genta emphasised the strategic importance of AI for Monaco’s financial industry, stating that the sector is a key economic driver and a critical element of the Principality’s attractiveness. With the support of world-class experts and the participation of 120 industry professionals, Monaco is preparing for this crucial technological shift.
