HSH Princess Stéphanie, the ‘Godmother of the Prince’s Carabiniers’, presented the Corps insignia to the four Carabinieri students of the ‘Louis Nattareu’ Promotion during a military ceremony held on Thursday, June 20, on the helicopter landing area of the Moneghetti Barracks.
After a welcome from Lieutenant-Colonel Martial Pied, and the review of the troops, the company pennant was presented to the young recruits. Shortly thereafter, Princess Stéphanie presented them with the Corps insignia, blessed by Father Christian Venard, Chaplain of the Principality’s Police Force. The ceremony closed with the Monegasque Anthem sung by the Prince’s Carabinieri Orchestra and all the soldiers.
After taking taking office on Monday, July 1, the applicants will take an oath to HSH Prince Albert and his family on July 8, 2024 and will thus commit to serving them with ‘Honour, Loyalty and Dedication’, as the motto of the Corps dictates.
