Friends of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco (AAMOM), AS Monaco and its partner Kappa joined forces to carry out an environmental initiative by organising a beach clean-up on Marquet beach in Cap-d’Ail, as part of the partnership between the Rouge et Blanc club and the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco.
The event which brought together 45 people, members and volunteers of the Association Les Amis from the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, U16 players from the AS Monaco Academy and their supervisors as well as collaborators from the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco, took place on the morning of Thursday, May 30.
This operation, supported by Kappa, the equipment supplier to AS Monaco, targeted plastic bottles, cigarette butts, paper packaging, microplastic, and more were collected.
Ms Leila Eilling, President of AAMOM, said: “We are delighted with this joint action with AS Monaco and the players, Nice Pogging, the Museum team and the Friends of the Museum. The friends also support the cigarette butt collection project at the museum, which we will continue during our next beach cleaning operation. A big thank you to everyone who came. We look forward to welcoming you next time.”
